ATMNE 2013
The Association of Teachers of Mathematics in New England held their annual conference on October 24-25, 2013 in Killington, VT. I presented on Friday.
Examining Student Work for Student Thinking
Sometimes our students have ingenious ways of solving problems, but deciphering their thinking and determining if their method is based on sound reasoning can sometimes be a challenge. Come examine student work samples and join your colleagues in deciphering and discussing the methods these students have used and the mathematics behind them. Expect rich mathematical discussions and new insights into student thinking. Work samples from this session cover content from grades 3-8.
